• I loaded it and gave it a try but it displayed really small images and to edit the template was going to require buying premium. I was not really sold that it would be worth the time compared to learning how to integrate isotope/masonry myself from the js library without this plugin. I guess this plugin, in my mind, falls in the gap between not simple enough for novices and not basic enough for developers. But I only gave it a 30 minute try.

Not sure what you mean by “really small” but the default should look like on our demo site: https://bootstrapped.ventures/wp-ultimate-post-grid/

Also, as a developer you can code your own template without having to pay for the Premium plugin: https://bootstrapped.ventures/wp-ultimate-post-grid/code-your-own-template/

The free version gives you a responsive grid with isotope filtering, custom links, custom images, any post type, deeplinking and 4 free templates.

Yes, there’s also a Premium plugin with even more options, but I do feel like the free version already offers a nice grid solution for those who do not know how to code one.

Could you elaborate on the “not simple enough for novices” and how we could improve there?
