    I’ve also encountered the problem with the following:
    “Not Acceptable!
    An appropriate representation of the requested resource could not be found on this server. This error was generated by Mod_Security.”

    I’m using Bluehost, and would appreciate if anyone could help.

    Hey there, @jennlee0701! We’ll be happy to check on this for you.

    1. Just to check, has Site Kit worked for you successfully previously, and if so do you recall any changes made to your site since this started to occur?

    2. Could you please temporarily deactivate ModSecurity or any other hosting level Web Application Firewall (WAF) from your hosting control panel before then attempt to connect the Analytics module once more? If you’re unsure of this, or should this setting be unavailable please check with your hosting support.

    3. We could also attempt to rule out particular conflicts with plugins or your WordPress environment by following the steps below:

    – Login to your site from a Chrome browser incognito window
    – Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    – Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    – From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google”
    – Attempt to setup Site Kit once more

    You can exit troubleshooting mode afterward. If the same issue occurs please share any console errors that appear on the same page.

    @jennlee0701 Thank you for your patience here! We’ve identified that this error is occurring due to a recent change in Mod_Security rules. While some hosting providers may be able to adjust these rules, others may not, so we’re going to apply an update in the next Site Kit release (before end of June) to fix this error in the plugin. I’ll update this topic again when the fix has been released.

    @jennlee0701 We’ve implemented a fix for this issue in today’s release of v1.34.1 of Site Kit. Please make sure that your Site Kit plugin is updated and you should be able to successfully set up Analytics now.
