  • I moved yesterday my shared-hosting account, then plugin update fails and the message “Could not create directory.” is shown.

    I have googled about the problem and found 7~8 solutions, but all of them didn’t work for me. And it’s not chmod issue I think.

    Writing posts, uploading from FTP and other features are work so well.

    This happens because the server has not set the correct permissions for WordPress to be able to install and update plugin (and themes and core files). You need to contact your webhost and ask that they set the permissions so WordPress can indeed update what it needs. This is an easy change for them to make and has no security implications.
