# Could not create directory adding new plugins

 * When I try to add a new plugin I keep receiving this error… I called my hosting
   server and they said its not on their end either. I tried deactivating all my
   plugins and renamed and change file permission from 755 to 777 via my server’s
   cPanel.
 * Downloading install package from [https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wordpress-seo.2.3.5.zip…](https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wordpress-seo.2.3.5.zip…)
 * Unpacking the package…
 * Installing the plugin…
 * Could not create directory. /home/abmadun5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-
   seo/
 * Plugin install failed.
