I tried to install the upgrade to WP Super Cache this morning and got this message:

    Could not create directory. /var/www/vhosts/mysite.org/mysite/wp-content/upgrade/wp-super-cache.tmp

I haven’t had problems updating any other plugins, so I do not think that the permission is an issue. Thank you.

I changed my wp-content permissions to 777 and the plugin installed. Then I changed them back to 775, and now I get the message “your cache directory needs to be writable for this plugin to work”. I’m not leaving the permissions to 777, so what happened that it used to work but now does not? Thank you.

Now my wp-super-cache folder is owned by user “apache” and group “apache” so I cannot even delete it. What’s up? Can anyone help? Thanks.
