    Hello
The wordfence plugin did not work on my website. I installed the plugin then I installed the google authenticator. then I scan the bar code, it says “The code provided does not match the expected value. Please verify that the time on your authenticator device is correct and that this server’s time is correct.

Note: I installed this plugin 3 or 4 months or maybe before, and it says the same thing at that time. Could you please tell me the reason behind it?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @devdaru, thanks for getting in touch!

Could you check for me whether times still match and if there are any offsets at Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics > Time. If there are discrepancies, you may need to speak with your host or server admin to have them corrected. Feel free to paste those values here and we’ll look into some other options if they seem consistent.

It is also worth trying a different Authenticator app like Authy, just in case there are issues with Google Authenticator on your device.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
