I am a small business owner but I think the prices are high for my business unfortunately. I was hoping I could just buy it one off instead of paying a high fee monthly.

The free version uses a lot of images which are not optimized according to GTMetrix which says they should be combined with CSS. It slows down the site.

Good concept however, so I will look into another plugin called Tansposh instead which gives some of GTranslate’s premium features (seems to be most all the important ones!) but for free with open source instead…

    Hi,

Our prices are the cheapest on the market. For just $3.99 per month you can get your website bilingual and the translation will be done using neural machine translations which are human level translations. Multilingual plan starts from only $9.99 per month. We do not have one time fee, because we are providing a service which is constantly updated on our side, so you can be safe from updates headache, we also host your translations in our cloud network and make them better over time, also we provide support with our service.

The free version is optimized for HTTP/2 version which doesn’t require the images to be combined. Even with HTTP 1 version if you are not going to use all the language flags (usually people use up to 10 flags) on your page using separate flags is optimal compared to loading all 103 flags in one file.

It would be great if you could try using Transposh before writing this review, it is last updated 2 years ago and I’m not ever sure it works any more.

    Thanks!
