• I just downloaded Suffusion. A lot of files were apparently missing and I got several PHP errors due to missing include files.

  • I can confirmed similar results with the most recent download of Suffusion version 3.3.3 from the themes directory. My test resulted in just a white screen on activation, no error messages. I had to delete the suffusion directory to get the site back. Looks like it was just updated on 2/12. Something didn’t go quite right! 🙂

Yup, me, too. My site is gone after upgrading automatically from within the site. Downloaded a fresh install and it’s still gone. I am getting an error message on the dashboard though:

Warning: include_once(/home/public_html/wp-content/themes/suffusion/admin/theme-definitions.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/public_html/wp-content/themes/suffusion/functions.php on line 72

I just took anther peek at the download. It looks like the entire admin directory is missing from version 3.3.3. I’m sure the author will catch it before long. I really like that theme.

Well, the theme is fine, but apparently one of the servers that is serving up the file is messing up. For some people the auto-upgrade fails and for some the zip file downloaded is bad.

I have reported this problem with WP and they are looking into it. If you want you can download the full zip from http://suffusion.googlecode.com/files/suffusion.3.3.3.zip

Another thing to note is that WP’s subversion folder for version 3.3.3 of Suffusion has all the missing folders, so the problem is not with what WP has, but what is being distributed.

Thank you, sayontan. I assumed this was the case. It’s nice that you provide an alternative download. By the way, I am amazed how much good work you has put into your theme!

PS: Although there is a problem now, I must say that wordpress.org is a very stable site and problems such as this one are rare.

I got the same php errors in fact five of them.
I was surprised beyond belief and send 10 to 14 days unitl I becoming bewildered. I deleted Suffusion in view I have just found I will give it a go.
If it does not work I try a different theme and I will come back let you know what when wrong.

Not really sure what you are asking, or which version you faced a problem with. Since you say “10 to 14 days”, I would suggest you follow the instructions here: http://code.google.com/p/suffusion/.
