# Corrupted wp-admin file

 * I screwed up my wp-admin file by “accidentially” changing the my websites name
   to some that is is NOT legitimate.
 * So when I try and hit [http://www.hdradioinfo.com/wp-admin.php](http://www.hdradioinfo.com/wp-admin.php)
   I get a 404 error about the server cannot be found.
 * The following is what I corrupted because you can see that I don’t have the correct
   URL in my file.
    [http://hdo.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwp-admin%2Fedit.php](http://hdo.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwp-admin%2Fedit.php)
 * Is there a file that I can overwrite and place back on my site to correct that
   value.

 * In brief, you’ll need to fix the value for siteurl in your database using PHPMyAdmin
   or your choice of database tool, and probably modify wp-login.php to stop WordPress
   trying to be helpful by changing it back.
 * Admin – is it possible to make a link to this solution “sticky” – variations 
   of it seem to be biting a lot of people.

   posts are not yet an option here..so we’ll have to keep pointing people at various
   threads. I’ll try and come up with an idea about that though..

 * Any help would be appreciated.
 * I have scanned the DB in PHPMyAdmin but I cannot find a wp-login file? I am SURE
   that it is a operator error, but none the less I am at a loss.
 * Since I am such a newbie to this, do you suggest that I just blow away my WP 
   site and bulid another? Would that be the easiest thing to do, or this is a realtively
   simple fix?

 * The siteurl and home values in the table wp_options are what WP uses.
