 * I had some problems with WordPress and I had my web hosting company restore all
   the files and folders in my WordPress site to an earlier date. From a user perspective
   everything works fine but I’m having problems with the WP-Admin interface. A
   number of things in the WP-Admin interface work fine but when I attempt to view
   plugins or attempt to go to the screen to update WordPress to 4.5.2, it crashes.
   By “crashes”, I mean I get a spinner for a long time and it eventually gives
   up and gives me an HTTP-500 error. I think I’m going to have to manually install
   WordPress 4.5.2 using the manual upgrad process identified here:

 * Is there a better way to resolve this problem?
 * Thanks,
 * Chuck

 * I did a manual update to WordPress 4.5.2 as specified in the document I referenced;
   and apparently the update was successful; however I still have a problem. When
   I open the WP-Admin panel and attempt to access “Plugins”, I get a spinner for
   quite a while and then it declares an HTTP-500 error.

 * You can disregard this post. The HTTP-500 error went away after several attempts

 * It might be that WordPress is having trouble loading a plugin? You could try
   to disable the plugins via FTP or through the database and then turn them on
   one by one. There are several references on the web that will show you haw to
   do both.
 * Below is one resource:
 * [ How to deactivate all plugins… ](http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-wp-admin/)
 * Hope that helps. Good luck!

 * Thanks, I got it resolved…the HTTP-500 error eventually went away and everything
   is back to normal
