    Hi!
    I import the descriptions from the IPTC fields, and it works fine.
    My question: What would be the fastest and easiest way to correct some mistakes or add some details?
    Working directly on the database seems a bit cumbersome to me.
    What do other users in this case?

    (Choose an images from the taglist if you need to)

    Best wishes,
    Dieter

    Ik importeer de beschrijvingen uit de IPTC-velden, en het werkt prima.
    Mijn vraag: Wat zou de snelste en gemakkelijkste manier zijn om enkele fouten te corrigeren of enkele details toe te voegen?
    Direct aan de database werken lijkt me een beetje omslachtig.
    Wat doen andere gebruikers in dit geval?

    (Kies een afbeelding uit de taglist als dat nodig is)

    De beste wensen,
    Dieter

    You can edit the exif and iptc labels quite simple in Table X and Table XI on the Photo Albums -> Settings admin page.

    Thank you, yes, edit the labels works perfect, but when I import my IPTC data and have a mistake in it, there is no way to edit the text in the backend, right?
    I use

    <div>
    <table style=”font-size: 12px; line-height: 20px;”>
    <tr><td><b>Bildnummer:</b> 2#005</td></tr>
    <tr><td>2#105</td><tr>
    <tr><td>2#120</td><tr>
    <tr><td>2#025</td><tr>
    <tr><td><b>Aufnahmedatum:</b> E#9003</td><tr>
    <tr><td><b>Hinweise:</b> – </td><tr>
    <tr><td><b>Fotograf:</b> 2#080</td><tr>
    </table>
    </div>

    for the import in Table IX/5…

    So I correct the mistake in the IPTC field of the image and upload the image again, or I go to the database (phpMyAdmin) and correct it there…

    No, you can not edit the iptc data, you need to fix it in the photo and re-upload (there is a re-upload button on the photo admin page, so that is simple)

    Question answered, thank you !

    Well, if say for example the value of 2#025 is wrong for a particular photo, you can edit the photo description by changing it into the right data.

    It works for me…
    In my daily work in a picture agency I make changes in the IPTC fields directly in the backend. I am an old dog, but not too old to learn new tricks

    I will treat this as a feature request to enable editing iptc data on the Photo Albums -> Eit -> Manage Photos – Edit photo information screen. However, with a low priority.

    Good idea, and yes, low priority.

    Thank you!

    Would it be suffucient to edit the iptc data in the wppa database, so it appears edited in the photo description etc, or do you need the actual source image file being updated with the edited iptc data. If so, why? (I do not want to modify the original files if there is no important reason for so there must be an important reason also for other uers to convince me to do that)

    (@berlinfo)

    No need to change the source images files…

    I just need to make corrections e.g. something is misspelled etc, or wrong facts in the description.

    See what I can do at the moment:

    Works beautiful and is really, really helpful!
    Brilliant work!
