  • Hi I’m new to WordPress.

I just installed v1.5 and it’s great. Easy to install and customise.

I’m having just one problem: after creating two additional users for my news weblog, I find that they are unable to edit each others’ posts. I’ve played around with user levels, but it seems there is no way to let people in a group edit each others’ posts equally.

Is this correct? Is there a workaround?

    Thanks in advance.

(this is an older post from the time when editing each other was possible…)

Oh dear, I see what you mean.

After some more searching, I found a discussion about hacking one of the php files to make equal user level editing possible ( I have now done this, as well as giving myself a second login for posting, with the same user level. It works a treat.

I’ve just been over to the Requests and Feedback forum, to see if a suggestion has been made to create a set-up option for this, but I couldn’t search that forum separately, and I couldn’t see anything relevant listed. Being a newbie, I thought I’d better keep my gob shut.
