Support » Plugin: DW Question & Answer » Correct text domain

  • Hey there,

and many thanks for the plugin and the great work!

This should just be a friendly reminder from another developer. I’ve just figured out that your plugin loads the wrong language translation files due to the fact that it uses 'dwqa' as the text domain. However it should use the plugins slug name ('dw-question-answer') to work properly with GlotPress (translate.wordpress.org).

By the way: this might also the reason GlotPress does not recognize some of your strings. For example 'Display status icon on the left side.' cannot be found in the German translation file and so it shows up untranslated in the Dashboard.

You should then remove the languages folder from your plugin as it is no longer needed (WordPress loads translation files to wp-content/languages/plugins from the above mentioned site).

Hope this helps to improve the plugin even further.

    Many greetings
