Correct password no longer works

    Just upgraded, and now when i log in with any account, the password no longer stays or works.
    It does not tell me the wrong password is being used, it just brings me back to the login screen. if i put in a wrong password it tells me so.

    If I reset the password it works, but then when I reset the password to something new it goes back to the original problem.

    Any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this issue?

    I have tried making the changes in the database using MD5 passwords but they change whenever I try to log in. I have also tried clearing cookies.

    It’s kind of frustrating every time i need to make a change in the admin to have to use the lost password link every time.

    Help?

    It also seems that after a short while it automatically is forgetting me.
    I just logged in, changed a few things, and then it prompted me to log in again, using the automatically set password I was able to log in, but for how long?

    I have installed a cookie duration plug in and set it to the default 336 hours. (plugin is called Remember Me)

    ok, strange…
    in the DB i changed the password to somethign OTHER than what i was using before, somehow it was caching my old passwor, or so it seems, after I changed it to somethign else it seems to be working.

    Thank you for your time. if the issue returns, so will I.
