Core error after last update
-
Good day,
After updating the Polylang plugin yesterday, the following error occurred and now, other than going through my provider’s back-end access and renaming the polylang directory (or deleting it) or using WordPress’ recorvey mode, I can’t get to the WordPress dashboard!?
An error of type E_ERROR was caused in line 87 of the file /nfsvol-web/43/51943/datatelcom.com/nic_wordpress/wp-content/plugins/polylang/integrations/wpseo/wpseo.php. Error message: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method WPSEO_Options::clear_cache() in /nfsvol-web/43/51943/datatelcom.com/nic_wordpress/wp-content/plugins/polylang/integrations/wpseo/wpseo.php:87 Stack trace: #0 /nfsvol-web/43/51943/datatelcom.com/nic_wordpress/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(287): PLL_WPSEO->wpseo_translate_options('') #1 /nfsvol-web/43/51943/datatelcom.com/nic_wordpress/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(311): WP_Hook->apply_filters(NULL, Array) #2 /nfsvol-web/43/51943/datatelcom.com/nic_wordpress/wp-includes/plugin.php(484): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #3 /nfsvol-web/43/51943/datatelcom.com/nic_wordpress/wp-settings.php(579): do_action('wp_loaded') #4 /nfsvol-web/43/51943/datatelcom.com/nic_wordpress/wp-config.php(81): require_once('/nfsvol-web/43/...') #5 /nfsvol-web/43/51943/datatelcom.com/nic_wordpress/wp-load.php(37): require_once('/nfsvol-web/43/...') #6 /nfsvol-web/43/51943/datatelcom.com/nic_wordpress/wp-admin/admin.php(34): require_once('/nfsvol-web/43/...') #7 /nfsvol-web/43/51943/datatelcom.com/nic_wo
To date, here’s what I’ve done:
– Renaming and deleting the current Polylang folder. Once that’s done, I can acess the WordPress dashboard no problem.
– Followed by downloading and activating a fresh version of the Polylang plugin. BOOM the error happens again…Any suggestions as to how this problem can be resolved without my having to use a different plugin?
FYI, my website using the following:
WordPress version 5.6.2
Current theme: astra child (version 1.0.0) Current plugin: Polylang (version 3.0) PHP version 7.2.34
Yoast SEO Premium version 12.1 (yes I know it’s outdated)Thank-you in advance to all who provide assiustance with this issue.
Marc
