 * Hi,
 * I noticed that sometimes certain images won’t load until a page refresh; I get
   an “error 500” for them in my dev tools.
 * I though it was related to some other plugin or a server error but then I noticed
   that whenever that happens a core dump file gets generated in the Adaptive Images
   root folder. Do you know what might cause this?
 * Thanks in advance,
 * Charles

 * Hello, Charles,
 * This is the first time that a user reports core dump files being generated due
   to the plugin. Can you check if any related entries are inserted in the PHP error
   log as well? That would be very helpful indeed!
 * Cheers,
    Takis

 * Hi Takis,
 * I waited until I could replicate the issue before replying. It just happened
   a few minutes ago: a thumbnail failed to load; I went to check the “adaptive-
   images” plugin folder and a core dump was created with the timestamp corresponding
   to the loading error. Also, there is nothing showing up in my PHP error log.
 * Do you have a way to analyze the core dumps? I can send them to you if you want.
 * Thanks,
 * Charles

 * Hello, Charles,
 * So the issue only happens once in a while? Have any idea if it is connected with
   some other action or condition that we could relate it to?
 * I haven’t tried to analysed core dumps before, but I would love to give it a
   try! Can you upload it somewhere for me?
 * Cheers,
    Takis

 * Hi,
 * Yes, it appears seemingly randomly, however it’s rather frequent. Right now I
   am the only one browsing my website, which is under development, and I got 10
   new core dumps in the plugin folder since yesterday. Each dump is 36.27 MB, so
   I guess it can eat up my server storage quite fast when I make my page public
   and get more visitors.
 * Can you give me an address so can I send you the files via WeTransfer?
 * Thank you very much,
 * Charles

 * Hello, Charles,
 * Indeed, this is not acceptable behaviour. You can use our email info [at] nevma[

 * Hi Takis,
 * I sent you the files two days ago via WeTransfer on your email. You can reply
   here directly if you want when you have the time to investigate.
 * Thanks!

 * Hello, Charles,
 * I am sorry to say that I have had no luck with the core dump files yet.
 * In the meantime I forgot to ask you if you could send me the results of the Print
   debug and Print diagnostics buttons in the plugin settings page, so that I can
   have a first look for possible compatibility issues.
 * Cheers,
    Takis

 * Hi Takis,
 * I would gladly do that, however I have since switched from CloudFlare to Amazon
   CloudFront (by replacing media library URLs to the CF address through the W3TC
   plugin) in order to feed my images faster and now Adaptive Images does not seem
   to work anymore, even with the “CDN Support” option turned on in the plugin settings.
 * Do you have any experience getting Adaptive Images working with CloudFront?
 * Thanks,
 * Charles

 * Hey, Charles,
 * If your images are directly served by the CDN, without your WordPress installation
   intervening at all, then it is possible that the Adaptive Images plugin is actually
   by-passed by the CDN. It is an edge case and one of the reasons why CDN support
   is still a bit experimental, but there is not much we can do about that really.
   When the CDN serves the images directly, then our code doesn’t run at all and
   it is totally up to the CDN to decide how to serve your images.
 * I could take a look myself in order to confirm if you would like to share your
   public website url with me.
 * Cheers,
    Takis
