Coraline theme will no longer let me edit css

  • I have my site on localhost. I’ve been using Coraline child theme no problem. Then today, when I edit any default styling in style.css, nothing changes. So the themes has certain default styles, like a thick widget title border, that I want to change. I delete it in css and nothing changes.

I added a couple of widgets yesterday and deactivating them did not change anything. I switched to boldy theme and could edit it’s background so think this is theme specific. I also switched the theme layout in the theme options, so not sure if that was the problem? Switching back didn’t help though.

Any help really appreciated, this has stopped all my progress.

    thanks.

It’s tough to guess without seeing the code and your setup but I’m going to guess that it’s something to do with how you have your Child Theme setup. Are you bringing the original styles into your Child Theme with an @import and then adding new styles to your Child Theme stylesheet?
