I run a self-hosted blog (www.tidinessproject.co.za) on the Coraline theme. When viewed on a mobile phone in the full version of the site (as opposed to the mobile version) my tag cloud (which is housed in the Primary Widget area) appears superimposed over the header of the blog. This has been observed on a Blackberry Z10 (had a complaint from a reader) and on my own Samsung S3. The mobile version looks great, though!

    I use the sidebar-content-sidebar layout.

Apologies if this has been covered before – I figure I can probably self-fix it by moving the tag cloud somewhere else, but thought it would be worth reporting in case some one else has the same problem.

I have a screenshot of the problem (mailed to me by the reader) which I can supply if need be.

I think I may have figured this out myself – just saw a previous thread about problems with mobile display. Have downloaded a plug in (WordPress Mobile pack). Will play with that and see how it works.

    The plug-in worked!

Glad you’re sorted. Since Coraline isn’t a responsive theme, a mobile plugin is a good solution.

Is there a Coraline theme responsive or mobile-compatible version? I have been using this theme, that I love, for many years, and couple of years ago I read in this forum that Coraline is responsive. However, Google Adsense says it’s no mobile-compatible, but I can read my blog in different smartphones.

My problem now is with an update that Coraline announced months ago. I created a Coraline-child theme, applies the update and got problems that forced me to ask my hosting guys to reinstall the backup I created before starting that adventure.

Before trying it once more time I’d like to know what that Coraline update is about.

Vichingo – Coraline is a responsive theme. If you make your browser window size smaller you can see the layout change to adjust to the dimensions of the screen.

However, Google Adsense says it’s no mobile-compatible

I don’t know how AdSense determines what sites are “mobile compatible” – you’d need to find out more from them.

I see that you’re currently running version 1.5 of Coraline, which is the current version. If you let me know specifically what problems you’re having and what version you’re referring to I’ll be glad to help. Would you mind starting a new thread instead of continuing here? Your issue is a separate one than the issue in this thread, which is almost a year old and already marked as resolved. You can start a new one here – thanks:
