    No version of the PDF Embedder will alter the original document so if you wish to display a copyright message on the document, you would need to add that prior to uploading it to your site.

    If you do not want to permit downloading, the PDF Embedder Secure version can be used to display a watermark which could contain your copyright information. Again, this is not added to the original document and would not be retained on download, but it will appear over the embedded PDF should someone screenshot your document.

    A watermark that is visible after download would either need to be added to the document prior to being uploaded to your site or you may need to use another plugin that can add a watermark to a PDF after “purchase” (price could be $0), for example. Some other plugins that would work in this manner would be:
