    On my site this comes up at the bottom: Proudly powered by WordPress | Theme:
   klean by Divjot Singh.
 * Am I allowed to change this in any way? If so can it me done with custom css?

 * Yes you can change it… You will have to create a [Child Theme](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes)
   to edit the footer.php file.
 * If you don’t create a child theme when the theme is updated you will lose your
   edits.

 * I do have a child theme, but when I activated it (one-click child theme) all 
   the changes Ive made with custom css plugin was lost. Can I not have a child 
   theme and use a custom css plugin?
