    Hello,
I need to duplicate a specific widget in my sidebar to my mobile menu. Problem is – adding it manually and tweaking the options would take too much time, as there are many things to set.

I tried copying the widget from the sidebar (thanks to a plugin) and placing it under max mega menu widgets in appearance > widgets. But, as the tooltip says, it is useless, since the only way to add widgets to the menu is through the menu itself. I did just that and I noticed that max mega menu places the same widget in appearance > menu, so that I can tweak the options there. Still, that would take too much time.

Tried switching it around, but nothing changes. Even though it’s the same kind of widget, max mega menu knows which is the one I added through the menu and which is the one I moved there through appearance > menu. Is there a way to trick the system somehow?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi palombaro,

“Is there a way to trick the system somehow?”

I’m afraid not. When the widget is added to the sub menu, we tag on some extra meta data to say which parent item it belongs to (and some other information). It may be possible by editing the database directly (that is something you would need to explore yourself), but that would in itself be very time consuming and prone to error and I think it would still be a lot faster to duplicate the settings manually.

    Regards,
    Tom
