Support » Themes and Templates » Copyblogger 1.0 – underlining page links in nav_menu

  • I’m using the Copyblogger 1.0 theme ( and have added a few custom pages. I also added links to them in the top nav_menu portion of the header.

    The links included by default feature underlining when at that page. (So when at the home page the “Home” link at the top is underlined. When as the Disclaimer page the, the “Disclaimer” link at the top is underlined.)

    So the question is: how do I get the links to the new, custom pages I’ve created to be underlined when a user is visiting those pages?

    If you haven’t used wp_list_pages to generate the extra links, it’s going to be extremely difficult.

    If you have used wp_list_pages, try styling on .current_page_item.

    Unfortunately I am unable to get wp_list_pages working.

    I tried copying some of the examples directly into the nav_menu.php file but always end up with errors.

    One example that does not work:

      <?php wp_list_pages(‘sort_column=menu_order’); ?>

    What do you mean by “custom pages”? You mean pages that aren’t inside your actual WordPress site? What errors are you getting with wp_list_pages?

    I mean pages that I’ve added and were not part of the theme by default.

    The error:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘&’

    Oof – duh. Got rid of the space in there and it’s working.
