• We’re consdering adding a forum to our blog. Power it w/php/bb.

I’d like to go to a post that’s grown to over 10 comments > leave the first 10 in place and post an announcement that the topic has been moved to “The Forum” > copy over ALL the comments to that time and paste into php/bb.

Any really simple suggestions about how to go about this? I sort of plan on moderating this about 5 times a day and tons of cutting-and-pasting wil be counter-productive.

I’ll ask this same question [now] over at the php/bb forum.

    Thanks.

  • As you are trying to insert into the forum software, I would start over there and figure out how to insert topics through PHP from the backend.

We can help you figure out how to extract the necessary information from WP’s database, but we can’t help you with the insertion.

    Regards
