Coping current .com blog to .org – I’m doing something wrong

    I followed the steps outlined from the forum but have questions where noted and my blog is still in wp.com mode.

    Installed WP.org 2.8 on Host Gator via Fantastico
    Install same theme and plugins as you have at .com???
    export.com blog
    Admin-tools-export
    Import this file to .org blog ???
    Admin-tools-import

    HELP!!!
