• WordPress apparently requires that the user’s computer be set to allow cookies. My parents are vehemently against this, so their computer does not allow cookies. They are unable to read our family blog about their grandchildren, including pictures. I have verified that this is the problem because I can login as long as I have cookies enabled, but cannot login when I disable cookies.

I want to disable WordPress from requiring that cookies be turned on.

    How can I do this???

  • Clarifying question: Why do your parents have to log in?

(Aside: I take it they don’t do any online banking?)

Perhaps if they are internet savvy enough to deny all cookies, it would be easier to simply have them place your site in their “trusted zone”. Or, in the case of Firefox, place your site in the “Exceptions” list under “cookies”, if the “Accept cookies from sites” box is not checked. Seems like that might be the easiest of solutions.
