****Is there any browser that will give me access to my WordPress control panel? ****

Before Christmas by mistake while in my wordpress control panel I hit the wordpress upgrade. I’m working from a Mac OS X Version 10.4.11 Power PC G5
I can’t remember the wordpress version I let it upgrade to.

Since that, when I try to get into my control panel I receive the following messages

    Safari Version 4.1.3 (4533.19.4)
ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.

    Explorer 5.2 for mac
ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.

    Firefox 3.6328
ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.

    Flock version 2.0.3
ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.

    OmniWeb 5.11.2 (v622.19.3 r170128)
ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.

I have checked that cookies are enabled in all the browsers so I’m running with the idea that ‘something is not supported’. [& I’m so close to upgrading to a younger mac system (hardware & software) too.] In the mean time

****Is there any browser that will give me access to my WordPress control panel? ****

The iphone apps are limited in what they will let me do because of the theme I use.

Thank you dimitris 33 I’ll look into that.

Though it began directly after I logged out the tried to log back in a few minutes later. I’d didn’t find that post when I googled.

Your suggestion at least points out that the issue shouldn’t be that wordpress has abandoned the Mac Power PC too.

That said I have another wordpress installation for another site. that one I havn’t updated and I can get into it’s admin.

WordPress has absolutely nothing to do with the computer you are using to view or manage your site. This kind of cookie issue is usually related to the server’s configuration. See http://wordpress.org/support/topic/cookies-are-blocked-or-not-supported-since-update-to-371/page/3#post-4900877

Thank you everyone who replied. This has been driving me up the wall trying things, googling and following leads.

This morning I discovered It doesn’t matter what I do. The issue is not the theme as flawed though it is. It’s the same as it always was.

I’d been trying to obtain access via a Mac Power PC with the most recent browser softwares available for that machine. After the wordpress upgrade update to wordpress 3.7.1. I no longer had access to my wordpress admin.

This morning I tried accessing via a Windows machine running windows XP. I got into my wordpress admin. I Up dated the blog, images text, etc. I tried logging off and on again a few times, this I can do.

So clearly the youthful wordpress has some issues with the youngest browser software that my Mac Power PC can run. whispering> I admit it’s an old machine :-(.

Thank you all for your time and patience
