“Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output.”

    I was doing work on my website yesterday and it was totally fine. I cleared my cache to test something and tried to login again and all of a sudden I got the error “ERROR: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output. For help, please see this documentation or try the support forums.” The website is still working, but I cannot login. Help! How do I get into my back end.

    Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

    If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Can somebody help me with this too but in neophyte language. Like I don’t know anything and I need a lot of help?

    I cannot log into my website. I don’t know what an FTP or an SFTP is (Humnn… maybe I should not have a website 🙂
