Activating the GDPR plugin causes me to see the “use cookie-free domains” warning in GTmetrix. The web is mounted with Storefront and loads very fast (1.3 seconds). It does not affect the speed but I find it curious, without the plugin, all good, with it activated the warning appears involving one CSS file and 21 jpeg. Some clue?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • That notice is saying that the websites resources are being delivered on a domain that sets cookies (yours) and should be sent on a domain that doesn’t(like a sub domain). The two files it’s referencing will more than likely be requested from your main domain address that set’s cookies.

I have that notice for my website too, you’re not alone. I could change it but it’s not that big of a deal so it can wait until I have time.

So yeah, long story short I wouldn’t worry about it. Unless you don’t want that error in GTmetrix

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks for your help @poegle1987!

@amooreto No problem at all, happy to help where I can.

I know what you say and usually I don’t worry because the performance is no affected, only Yslow score (86% to 82%). But in this case it catches my attention that it has happened when activating the GDPR plugin and if I deactivate it it stops appearing. I would like to understand why the plugin affects how images are served from my server.

In any case it’s not a big problem, the plugin is fantastic and very useful but I need to understand why things happen on my websites (I’am sorry, I’m like that ha ha)

    Anyway, thanks for your help!!
