    Hi,
Is it possible to set your plugin so that the information bar appears every time the site is opened and not how it is now that the appearance is linked to the browser session?

    Hi @fagfrank

    Thanks for using our plugins.

Can you please describe the scenario that you have in mind?

If you want all users to see the cookie banner every time they come to your site again (once they close their browser session), you can set the Consent Expiry to 0 on this screen:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/gzl7lo7tg9giwj1/screenshot-16.png?dl=0

We need to watch for browser session being closed, otherwise the cookie banner would have to re-appear every time user opens a new page.

If this is what you want to achieve, however, we have a hook that might help you, it’s described in details in the Documentation section of our plugin:
Prevent storing a “temporary reject cookie” when cookies are rejected

    add_action('gdpr_cc_store_cookie_on_reject', '__return_false');

    Hope this helps.

    Hi,
I set the “Consent expiry” value to 0 so that the banner appears for each session but many people, including me, always leave the browser open even when they put the computer in standby and I noticed that in this mode, when I I return to open the site on which I have given my consent to cookies, the consent bar no longer appears.
I also tried from my smartphone and also there I recorded the same situation.

The scenario I have in mind is the one that is managed by other Cookie Consent plugins, i.e. every time I open the site, the bar appears and I express my consent … this regardless of whether I leave my browser open or close.
Is it possible to achieve this with your plugin?

I forgot to ask you: is it possible to make the bar appear immediately as soon as you enter the site? … because I saw that instead it appears a few seconds late

The banner appears with a delay due to the Web Core Vitals requirements – this is to ensure that our plugin doesn’t damage your SEO rankings like many other competitor plugins that are not very well optimised.

    Hope this helps.

I have read the documentation of your plugin and the string you indicated is used to bring up the consent bar for each page. I don’t want this to happen!
As I told you, it is my intention to display the consent bar every time the site is accessed.
Is it possible to do this?

No, unfortunately we can’t do that.

I know what you are trying to achieve but from technical point of view, this is not possible.

The plugin doesn’t know what you mean by ‘site accessed’. It only understands browser sessions or page loads.

    Hope this helps.

In that you will have used other plugins similar to yours!
If you have tested “Complianz – GDPR / CCPA Cookie Consent” you will have noticed that its consent bar appears every time you visit the site, requesting your consent for the navigation you are starting.
I would like to get the same behavior with your plugin: is it possible?
