Hi – if the user chooses the Cookie version does the plugin automatically show a cookie banner? Does it store any data about consent? E.g. date consent given? If the user chooses the No Cookie option does it know not to show a Cookie banner?

    Thanks

    Hi @justinwyllie,

Koko Analytics does not take care of the cookie banner as it is usually best to use a dedicated plugin for that since your websites likely sets more than one cookie.

Complianz is great. You can set it to run window.koko_analytics.use_cookie = true; after someone grants consent, which will tell our plugin to use a cookie but only after the user consented to it.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks Danny. It seems that Complianz has a basic free version which would work well with yours I think. (Or, I imagine, if we used yours in non cookie mode then we would not require a cookie consent banner at all in most cases).
