-
i’ve test jetpack cookie banner policy and i’ve some but with this (just in widget setup – seems to do not save some settings etc … anyway, also “close on button remain with a little line and appear again on refresh, maybe cause by wp-rocket cache). is there any js i can exclude and test again?
Some other people can confirm issue with save settings in widget info?thanks in avance,

Could you give me more details about this? Do you experience an issue when trying to save the widget settings under Appearance > Widgets, or Appearance > Customize > Widgets in your dashboard?
If so, I don’t think the problem is linked to your caching plugin; most caching plugins do not cache data inside the dashboard.could you post some screenshots with some examples, so I can take a closer look?
Thanks!
Appearance > Widget > Cookie.
Seems to exist some issue with this.No avatar is accepted in banner text (no problem in other text field);
Something I save (set to custom), refresh, is again to standard;
I cannot put new line from banner text and policy link (so, if is all custom, is all in one line);
If I set to close on scroll, or time, or click, I see again the banner on every refresh.ATM, I can see this in my website.
hope this can help.

This seems to look good on my end:

Is this for a specific field? If so, which one? Could you also paste the new content you’re trying to save here?

That’s correct. New lines are not among the allowed characters. You can, however, use CSS to customize the link if you would like it to appear on a different line. Something like this would work, for example:
#eu-cookie-law a { display:block; }
If I set to close on scroll, or time, or click, I see again the banner on every refresh.
Do you use a caching plugin on your site, or a plugin that may interact with how cookies get set on your site? If so, could you try to remove it and let me know how it goes?
banner in text field: if i set and save, is present, but disappear from widget preview in admin panel (remain in other field);
no for specific field. just something (but especially with banner text – maybe caused by avatar image with bad chars).
new line: ok, but is present for default text. maybe a simply “/n” can be best instead of css custom rules (is just an idea) 🙂
yes, i’ve wp-rocket. is there any js i can add in exclude list? 🙂
indeed, if i try with a querystring (like: ?nocache) all seems to work as expected 😉regards,

Could you copy the content you’re trying to enter, and paste it here, so I can try on my end as well?

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jeherve/wp-rocket/6aa821cdf59a3b25d1ce1aa3425f9fb5048fd1d3/inc/3rd-party/jetpack.phpNow seems to remember “accept” but, on click, remain a small line (disappear after a simple refresh) > https://www.laltroweb.it/
Tested with chrome on linux.—

edit: after some test i’ve found an issue with custom inc/3rd-party/jetpack.php
after apply this patch, a good part of rocket htaccess disappear and my cache, simply, no more work as expected. then, i need to restore immediately from backup (and reinstall original file).atm i go back to cookienotice.
i hope this can be fixed in feature.I’ve made some changes to the patch a few days ago; could you make sure you’re running the most recent version of the patch?
Thanks!
hi! i glad just to inform that, at first impression, now seems to work as expected with latest wp-rocket release (contain a fix in changelog for this issue) but, indeed, my page isn’t cached if cookiebanner is present (u can see by sourcecode, isn’t minified): https://www.laltroweb.it/
after remove coookiebanner, my sourcecode will be, again, ok (minified).

report also to wp-rocket support.
