Hi,
Wordpress is not a shopping cart, so bear that in mind. You can get shopping cart functionality via 3rd-party plugins.
I love WordPress, and have loads of sites with it, but for ecommerce it would not be my first choice because it was not made with that in mind.
Some people find WordPress intuitive (I do), others find it very confusing.
To convert a shop AND a design of a good-sized site like yours is a good-sized project. You also have ASP running the back-end of your site… I believe WP will run fine on ASP, but I’ve certainly never done it. So it could cost you. Of course, people are submitting jobs on guru.com offering maybe a hundred bucks for pretty massive jobs, and maybe somebody in Pakistan might be interested. 🙂
If it were me, I would not make that change.

Yeah, it is quite a massive job. The problem is that Volusion is very restrictive in their use of ASP and they do not allow PHP scripts.
We need to include common information on every single product page and the only feasible way to accomplish this is pasting the HTML code on 1000 different pages. If they were to allow PHP code, I could simply do an include.
