Now that Mark has done it, I know it can be done. I just hope that someone would offer some insight into altering the import script so that I don’t have to spend all day figuring it out.
    Thanks again,

Dunno, but a cursory look seems to indicate that currently the import script just trashes the KEYWORDS: field from the MT export format; one ought to be able to rewrite that so it goes into the table that defines the slugs…

Michael, I have made the hacked import-mt.php that I wrote for mark to do what you describe at

Might be useful to someone else too.

In 1.2, you can make short-urls with URL slugs out of the box. At least that is true of the Beta, since I haven’t installed the RC yet.

Ha, I’m not paying attention. It must be sunny out. Yeah, there needs to be a way to import this into MT.

Into MT? I mean into WP. That’s it, I’m getting outta the apartment. Too bright outside.
