first: AWESOME plug – thanks for making a free version. you’re good people.

    second:

our site uses lots of lightboxes and click events. Instead of loading “thank you” pages, we just link them off. Many applications want to know the “thank you” page URL to track conversions… adwords, bing ads, adroll, etc.

My question is if we could give the cloaked links as the “thank you” page, and it would work to track the conversion. I know you have the link tracking plugin addon, but this is a bit different. We need the conversion urls to “load’ I think in order for it to work right.

    Let us know?

    Thank you!

  • Hi maven1129,

Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated 🙂

Are you able to track them as events in GA? That’s what the Google Click Tracking add-on lets you do.

Unfortunately we don’t do an actual page load before redirecting so I don’t think we can provide anywhere to put that kind of tracking code.

One idea off the top of my head might be to use jQuery to interrupt/detect clicks on affiliate links and POST the conversion data, then perform the click after that. This would require a devs assistance though.
