Sorry if I already posted about this, it’s just been driving me nuts.

The Buddypress (activity) entry form is built so that the Post In: drop down and the Post button are hidden until the user clicks the What’s New field. That means in order to post an Activity Plus object in a Group the user must click the What’s New field in order for that selection box to appear. I’m also working with BP Activity Privacy which puts it’s selection box in the same area.

I’m surprised no one has asked this before, but can you make it so that the Activity Plus controls trigger this expansion? I was told it had something to do with some javascript somewhere, but that didn’t help as I wouldn’t know where to find it or how to disable it without f*ing something up.

In the meantime I have the imperfect solution of adding “height:100%;” to the “whats-new-options” ID which makes the selection boxes visible until one posts an activity update, then the javascript hides that area all over again.

    Thanks

  • Hi There,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this one. I am going to add this as a features request in our system management software for our developer to take a look in to for you.

    Cheers

No problem, hopefully the developer will add this in a future release.

    Cheers,
