• Hi. I tried the new Grid page template in 2.6. Looks great. It shows the last ten posts. How can I control how many posts it shows, and how can I get some text to show above the grid? As it stands now, I see the grid with ten posts but I can’t write anything above the grid. The footer does show and the navigation menu does too. But I can’t put anything in the body, above the grid display. Where can I find out more about the grid page’s options?

There are no options for the grid page (and the theme is getting bloated already with the amount of options that already exists).

You can add the text directly in the file of your child theme, or you can try using the Jetpack Featured posts instead.

You can change how many posts that should show under Settings -Reading in your installation. (It is not part of the theme but the WordPress install)

OK, thank you. I am not sure what I will do with the grid layout but it is fun to play around. With your home page highlights I probably don’t need to make a page with the Grid layout, that’s what I’m thinking. I’ll still check out Jetpack’s stuff though– thanks for the advice.
