• This isn’t about any specific page, but I noticed Edit Flow is only listed as being compatible with WordPress 5.0.4 and lower. We’re on 5.2 and our Contributors are being marked as “No Access” in that box in each post where you check off who receives comments and notifications. We’ve had this problem since 5.1, though. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? (Administrators are fine – we still get notifications when posts are published or commented on.)

Also, does anyone know any viable alternatives to Edit Flow? I’ve seen PublishPress mentioned in another post.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I’ve loved EditFlow but sadly it’s not as actively developed or supported, understandable since the folks working on this plugin are not 100% dedicated to it, many of them work on core WP code.

PublishPress is a fantastic alternative that encompasses all of the features of EditFlow and adds more functionality, albeit some is via paid add-ons, but for the most part the free version is more than adequate for my needs, and I run several multi-author websites. It’s also very actively supported by the developers, and there is a good instruction page on migrating from EditFlow to PublishPress here:

A quick “hello” from us at PublishPress.

We’re here if you have questions.
