    Hi Tobias,
I have already rated your plugin and support as wonderful a while ago 🙂

I’m using the members plugin and I have found this
where you explain how to make it work.

Problem is I do not want my contributors to have the power to either delete or edit my previously uploaded tables. I want them to have power only on the ones they have created, nothing more.

What permissions do I need to grant and not grant in order for them to
    1) be able to import a table (now they get “you don’t have permission”)
    2) be able to edit and insert their own table

It’s fine if they insert existing tables, as long as they can’t edit it or delete it.

    As said I’m using “members”.

    Hi Deon,

    thanks for your question!

Unfortunately, I have to disappoint you here. With the current permission system, such fine-grained control is not possible. The problem is that I have not yet implemented capabilities like “tablepress_edit_others_tables” in the plugin. This would however be required to set the permissions like in your example.

I’m however working on this and hope to be able to add it to the next version. Additionally, I’m working on a new Premium TablePress Extension that allows even more fine-grained control of the access permissions, like giving specific users rights to specific tables only.

Unfortunately, I can not give estimates on when this will be available yet 🙁

    Thanks Tobias,
is there anywhere I can sign up to get updates on this?

hhm, not really. I regularly post the release announcements on the TablePress website at and in the Twitter account that is mentioned there. So, that would probably be the best sources.
