• Hi, here is an error message that has been reported to me by a contributor level user on our blog when accessing /wp-admin/index.php and /wp-admin/edit.php, namely the dashboard and the ‘All Posts’ pages:

The website cannot display the page

    HTTP 500

    Most likely causes:

    The website is under maintenance.
The website has a programming error.

I’m guessing it could be a plugin, but there doesn’t seem to be any information to go on. I’m unable to replicate the issue on my end so it’s difficult to pinpoint.

Just wondering if anyone else has found this and what the cause was for You. Thanks 🙂

  • Try checking your site’s error logs for a more specific error message. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.

Hi thanks, it’s not making it to the log it looks like something is breaking in the PHP before it can; trying a reinstall of 3.7.1

Only for authors, editors and contributors and only confirmed on the dashboard index page, one report of the all posts page but was unable to duplicate the error
