    Sorry if this is a simple question but can non wordpress users become contributers on a wordpress.org site without registering a blog. Can users of blogger become a contributer on wordpress sites? have an art community site and want to allow folks to post on it…how do they get set up?

    A WordPress.org, or self-hosted, blog is very easy to add users to.

    Go to your Dashboard; click on Users; then click on Add New.

    Fill in the necessary blanks, click “Add user” and your “folks” should be all set. This will work just fine as long as you are willing to set all the users up yourself. The other option is go in under General Settings and make sure the checkbox beside “Anyone can register” has been ticked.
