Contract Creator Mint Only

    Hello!

    Today I have deployed my test collection on the BSC TEST NET. I selected the option that only the contract creator can mint NFT’s however upon contract creation, it appears anyone can mint a token.

    Is this a known bug? I do not want to pay for a collection on the MAIN NET without knowing for sure that the contract will create successfully as where only the Contract Creator can mint.

    I agree, when I visit an NFT on my site, there is an option to mint for anyone who is visiting the page. This seems off. It then directs the user to login, which makes sense, but if the contract is restricted why would there be an option to “Mint a new Item” public facing? Maybe this is a completely different issue Joseph, but I thought it might be related to what you are saying.

    THanks for the feedback, we were trying to reproduce the issue you mention but we are not seeing that “anyone can mint a token” upon contract creation, can you share a print screen?

    Also @eeeb thanks for the feedback we are going to hide the “Mint a new item” in future releases.

    Can you please confirm which blockchain you are using?
    I am experiencing this error on Binance – Testnet

    Yes, there are two issues, the “Mint a new item” available for everyone is a know bug. The users will not be able to mint anyway, but yes, we are going to hide this button to avoid confusion.

    That one should have been fixed, can you please confirm which version of the plugin are you using?

    I have recreated what @eeeb was talking about by logging out of wordpress and I’m glad that no one can mint an item unless logged in.

    Looking forward to the removal of the “Mint a new item” unless you are already logged into the administrator wordpress account.
