Support » Plugin: Force Regenerate Thumbnails » Continue where regenerating stopped?

  • Would it be too difficult to have a possibility that plugin can continue regenerating those images on which regeneration was stopped? If library has too many images it would take a lot regenerate all of them so it would be great if it would be possible to regenerate them in parts

This feature would be very, very much appreciated. I have more than 18.000 pictures to regenerate thumbnails from. Regenerating a single image often takes between 30-50 seconds.

In this scenario I would need to keep my laptop and the process online for eight concurrent days before being able to complete the process.

Are the developer aware of this use scenario and how can I circumvent this?

Okay, sorry to bother you, haha.

I found this topic on the second page of the forum:

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/ewww-image-optimiser-speed-tip/

I had WP Smush – a similar image optmizing plugin – installed and I simply deactivated it and the process now handles individual images in less than a second.

    My process has been saved!

Nothing to see here any more.

I am also using WP Smush but by disabling it the images won’t be optimised 🙂
