    Hi there,

    I’m using

    Wordpress WordPress (5.8.2)

    Ultimate Member Version 2.2.5

In the past, all the pages and blog entries were secure. Means: we restricted the pages just to be visible for logged in users and a special role within UM.

Now after an update pages are accessible even when users are not logged in.

While calling a page without being logged in, the page is visible. It will only be hidden if I check the box “Would you like to display 404 page when users haven’t access?”. If activated, the page is restricted, if not, the page is being shown.

Further on: blog-pages or blocks restrictions do not work anymore in anyway.

The content restriction on menu items still works fine in that kind we expect it.

This is a severe security issue for us.

Is there a logfile or something else in that way that I could paste some more information about the issue here in the forum?

Fortunately we have disabled the complete indexing of the site via google. If we would have activated it, oh my god….

    Thanks in advance,
    Stefan

    Hi @stapetz

Have you tried updating the UM Content Restrictions to the Pages? Does it work when you set the restriction for logged-in users only?

    Hi,

what do you mean with updating?

I tried several settings. All the pages have the flag “for logged in users only” and I have chosen the UM group for which the content should be visible.

    Regards,
    Stefan

    Addition:

Even new created pages don’t work. Whether in the page settings nor in the block-settings for the restriction.

    When I user the Shortcode

[um_loggedin] This text can only be seen by logged in users [/um_loggedin]

this works fine within a page.

But: I can’t go through all the pages to insert the shortcode.

    Hi @stapetz

Please make this option checked for your business logic https://www.screencast.com/t/2umYhbGqEz7b It’s the legacy functionality for the Ultimate Member 2.2.x versions. So you will have the old logic for all your restricted posts with the newest Ultimate Member.

Let me know if you still have the issues with this option active,
    Best Regards!

    Hi @nsinelnikov

I activated this checkbox but without any success. Still the blogpage or single blogs are visible.

    Best regards,
    Stefan

    Hi @stapetz

Have you tried restricting the posts by category/taxonomies?
You can enable the UM Content Restriction for Category/Taxonomies by checking the taxonomies/category in the UM Access settings. Please see the screenshot in the link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15orA2vNoX0-BvXThpHHFe1SpwLtEDVVa/view?usp=sharing

    Hi @champsupertramp

we do not use Keywords or Taxonomies within the project.

Is there any possibilty to debug the UM within the project?

My expectation is that after an update of the UM everything should work like before.

Would it be possible that we do a skype or teams session to have a closer look to the problem directly on the server?

    Thanks and best regards,
    Stefan

    Hi @stapetz

Sorry for the late response. I couldn’t reproduce this issue on our end.

Could you please confirm that your site is not accessible to everyone in the UM Access settings? https://imgur.com/6zqFmm9

Also please provide a video clip showing the issue with Pages that has content restriction to show the content for Logged-in users only?

    Regards,

    (@stapetz)

Unfortunately I cannot upload a video into a cloud based filesystem due to restrictions in our company (it’s forbidden).

It would be great if could could do a webex session or a teams-meeting so that I can show you directly within the system the occuring problems.

I can initiate such a meeting if you let me know your email-address and if you suggest a time slot for such a meeting.

    Thanks in advance,
    Stefan

    Hi @champsupertramp

I re-opened the ticket and I have send the video as you proposed to the eMail-address.

    I hope that helps.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Stefan
