Support » Themes and Templates » Content images loading before theme images

  • I recently modified the default Kubrick theme into a photo blog and have been working to minimize load times and appearance. I regulated it to 1 post per page and tried to size the images in the content as small as possible. However, none of this seems to matter as all of the content images load before the theme images. So basically if the visitor hasn’t already had the images cached, they’re looking at a full 10sec of load time before the theme images pop up. I’m trying to get the theme images to load before any content.

I have searched for a load order with limited luck. It was suggested that I specify with javascript on the referring page as to the load order, but I thought maybe it might be in the css somewhere. I should also mention that I’m not that css proficient so I might have overlooked something simple.
