Content going below the footer?

I am trying to get the correct table template going on this page here:

simple tiling of images 3 in a row, but for some reason when i started to put in this code for the table:

And i closed it with the </tr> but it jumped those three images all the way down to below the footer. Not sure what happened? I have basic html/css knowlege, i can read most code and figure out where it goes/what it does but sometimes when it comes to this i get stumped.
