# Content Encoding Error

 * Just installed the free 3.1 version of “The Events Calendar” and it installs 
   and activates just fine. I can even use the settings page without any problem
   but when I go to [http://www.mattvenuti.com/events/](http://www.mattvenuti.com/events/)
   I get this error:
 * > **Content Encoding Error**
   > The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid 
   > or unsupported form of compression.
   > Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.
 * Any ideas? I went through the primer and all of the trouble shooting faqs on 
   the Modern Tribe site but nothing seems useful.

 * I think it has been resolved. I haven’t really done anything different to it 
   since I posted here other than switch between the theme’s available page templates
   but when it was set to “default template” that was when i got that error. Thanks
   anyways.
