Content disapperead from sidbar widgets

    Hello,

    something strange happened to my my site in the last night. From one day to the next day I have lost the content of my sidebar widgets. Very, very strange. I have no explanation for this.

    I have restored to my daily backup point from yesterday, but mostly all of my contents from sidebar widgets keep disapperead. What is that? How is this possible?

    Did somebody else had this kind of problem in the last 12 hours? Or does somebody has an explanation for this?

    Hi Karsten. Strange because they’re don’t all appear to be “blank.” This one and this one appear to be ok. When you look at the widgets in edit mode, all the content is missing there?

    Hi bd,

    I don’t know why and how it happenend but the reason why the content of my sidebar widgets disappered was this: Yesterday evening I was investing the other problem with two links of the child menu not working and I was reverting the live site to a staging site. I never did this before and don’t no much about what will happen behind the scene when reverting to staging. Then yesterday evening I was finishing my work on the website.

    This morning the sidebar content of the live site was not there anymore. Fortunately the great support team of my host WPEngine told me about my staging site which still had all the content of sidebar widgets.

    So I just reverted my staging site back to my live site and now all the content is available. Puh…I am really happy about that.

    I have only lost a view new email subscriptions which came in the last 12 hours from my mail poet data base.

    So this is topic is resolved and I will have to learn more about using staging site.
