Content Background Color change in Twenty Eleven Theme

    Hi there, I am using a child them based off the Twenty Eleven theme.
    I am trying to change my content background color to #020202 currently it is darker gray color but I need it this black color so it blends with my background. I have gone in and made my

    body {
    background-color: #020202;

    I must be doing something wrong or missing something. I have viewed many other topics about this same issue but none of them have worked for me. Please help it would be greatly appreciated I have spent many hours trying to figure this simple change out.

    -Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work. http://getfirebug.com/

    t-p, I tried using Firebug a few days ago, it didn’t help me but again I’m not really sure how to use it. I can’t seem to find the background while using it.
    Can you assist with this or do you have any other ideas?
