Hello, I’m running the site popdust.com using the WordPress theme Roots. Last week, we updated the Yoast SEO plugin (which is a valuable tool my not-so-tech-savvy editors love) and have been experiencing some issues with the “Content Analysis” section of Yoast.

-No matter what, the word count of the “Content Analysis” always says “1 Words” and is too low. See example screenshot below — post is 613 words but returning as “1 Words”
-We always have our focus keywords as the first paragraph of text, hidden in white on the page as a hackaround for when we can’t get it into the thesis of the article. Since updating the plugin, we always get the “focus keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of copy.
-We’ve also been getting “The focus keyword does not appear in the page title,” but it often does. See the example screenshot here — focus keyword is “Sean Penn El Chapo Interview” which are the first five words of the post title.

Since we updated last week, we’ve been unable to get a “green light” from our Yoast plugin on any post.

    Please advise, and thank you.
