content always wrapped with tags

Hi Raj,
This plugin works beautifully – but one issue is that it wraps the ‘shown’ content in <p> tags, this causes problems when I want to shorten sections of text for mobile users only, as it will create new paragraphs in places I don’t want them.

Would it be easy to wrap in <span> tags instead, so that text can flow nicely?

EDIT: nevermind – i edited your plugin directly and removed ‘wpautop’ from the calls. Works just how I wanted now 🙂
